I even bought that leigh router system, but it's so big and cumbersome that I never used. I should return, but it's over a year already.

I just used the what I'll call the pin trick for the finger joints. A pin and a key of the size of the finger. It worked but took patience and practice. I definitely need more robust versions. Am trying to figure a way to make a nice adjustable model.

Thanks! All joints were done with homemade jigs... the finger joints cut on a table sled and the mortises cut with a router. I built my router table as well!

Those are some beautiful joints sir. I salute you. I keep meaning to try those joints out (I've never done them before) but whenever it comes time for me to do it. I'm like “screw it I'm using pocket holes”

Ha! I hear ya... I was doing it more for aesthetic on this project. I put a lot of time into practicing and working out the mechanics to make sure it came out nice so I thank you for noticing. Pocket holes would have definitely been easier.
