No you don't have to stain it because it uses a Lazer to cut it so it leaves it a little burnt like how it looks you just have to make sure to put a lot of oil so food doesn't get stuck in there... I will see if I can find a link but I'm not 100% sure what brand the one my school has is... I can get one that looks similar though.
