I think he has made his own biscuick. You can see the recipe link in the second step?

I see that he has made the Bisquick. But, what is "Bisquick baking mix"? The baking mix seems to be different.

Hi Subaddra. Bisquick is a baking mix. It basically just contains flour, some chemical leavener, salt, and some kind of shelf-stable fat. But if you can't find it, you can make your own. A lot of people grew up with Bisquick in the house, and it was used to make pancakes, muffins, cakes, etc. This coffee cake was once a recipe that was listed on the box, so it has a nostalgia factor for some folks. But experimenting with this recipe, I kinda feel that the bisquick part is silly. It's not much more difficult to just make the whole cake from scratch. So I'm planning to work on eliminating the baking mix next time.
